Photography is both proof of transience and immortality. Transience, because it captures something that will never be the same again. Immortality, because the image continues to live on, even when neither the moment nor the one who captured it exists anymore. 

I perceive photography from a spiritual perspective – as a meditation on the present moment. It forces us to look closely, to be here and now, to perceive the world without the filters of the mind. That is its power: to teach us to see more deeply, not only the world around us but also within ourselves.
